Founded in 2011, Mini Sandcrabs is the home to Australia's No.1 voted protective swimwear for kids aged 0 to 18.  Our fabrics & swimwear are all proudly designed in Australia & are made with superior fabrics to be #SunProof #SagProof #KidProof.  In fact, some of our swimwear starts out life as discarded fishing nets from the ocean floor, and is recycled into Econyl® yarn and knitted into our beautiful fabrics.  

One of the best things about living in Australia is being surrounded by some of the greatest beaches in the world.  Unfortunately this can mean that we are exposing our bodies to some of the harshest conditions in the world.  Australia leads the world in skin cancer, and we need to protect our children’s skin from a very young age to reduce this alarming statistic.

Melanoma awareness is something I am very passionate about and sun safety is always at the forefront of my mind.  Mini Sandcrabs produces swimwear that is all rated UPF50+, meaning they offer 98% protection against the harmful UVA and UVB rays, which translates to less time wrangling children with sun cream!   They’re also made from lightweight, chlorine-resistant, breathable fabrics in a variety of gorgeous styles. Mini Sandcrabs swimwear is designed to please kids and parents alike — that’s why our motto is #SunProof #SagProof #KidProof.  We have always used the highest quality fabrics available and as a result, we were fortunate to be one of the first Australian swimwear brands using fabrics that have been created using recycled fishing nets - doing our bit to save our oceans.
